Medical Care During Illness
All animals will deal with an illness or two during their lifetime. Some animals have more issues than others. Some illnesses are more severe or intensive than others. It is always best to get a potential problem looked at during the earlier stages before it becomes too severe.
If you notice that your pet is not acting normally, is not eating or drinking, is vomiting or having diarrhea, has gained or lost a significant amount of weight, has eye or nose discharge, is have problems getting around, is having problems breathing, or has any changes in their eyes, ears or skin, please call the clinic to set up an appointment.
Please do not attempt to diagnose or treat your pet without consulting your veterinarian. Your veterinarian is trained to use a combination of your pet’s medical history, clinical signs, physical examination and diagnostic testing to determine the proper course of treatment for your pet. Not all pets can be treated in the same way, some medications should never be mixed together, and many home remedies or human medications can be damaging or even fatal to your pet.
